Wikipedia entry
« on: May 11, 2016, 03:49:18 am »
Currently only in German:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenXcom

a temporary solution in English, is the Google translation:
https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fde.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FOpenXcom&edit-text=

Can anyone complete the article there? ;)

Its interesting to see this article on the main Wikipedia.

OpenXcom has its own wiki at https://ufopaedia.org.  This is the official wiki of the project.

I don't know at all if OpenXcom is famous enough to have its own wikipedia page. But having its own wiki pages on https://ufopaedia.org does not justify at all not having its page on wikipedia or not updating it accordingly.

i have to agree, a stub on the xcom article is enough, an entire article is unwarranted, especially when the main focus of the article is not actually openxcom.

I think an entire article might be warranted, depending on what you put there (things like the developers, some history about the project, differences between OXC and the vanilla, etc.)

But with more than half of the article being about Piratez, the current page would make more sense to be about it instead of OXC

Indeed. Also there are so many more mods out there.
