I was speaking of mission scripts. Unfortunately the term 'mission' is a bit loaded. Each mission will generate 'waves' of UFOs. Alien infiltration will generate up to 11 UFOs. If you shoot them down or go do them while they land, I guess you could call them mission sites.

Anybody know why a red dawn sailor was able to fire a Magnum 3 times the turn after being flashbanged? Three snap shots with a magnum cost 63% TU, and he should have had 50%.

My life has reached a point where I might pick this up again. ~~Help me.~~ Is it safe to upgrade from 3.3 to 3.6? I glanced back a couple of pages and it looks like I need to update OCXE?

Yeah, get the newest OXCE if you can.
Upgrading should be generally safe, but I can't remember if I changed any IDs between these versions - if yes, then some of your items/researches may be lost.

Do I understand correctly that the only thing that matters for getting Alien colony mission is if the Alien Base ufo wave generates at the start of the month?
Shooting down UFOs or mission success doesn't matter?

No, but yes. Colonies are generated by Alien Infiltration mission.
The mission can be generated "just because" at 6% per month and also by embassies or golden academy towers at some small %.
Once is starts, it doesn't matter what you do, the mission will eventually succeed, lose you a country and spawn a colony.

Should den of villany be resticted to the Dragonfly as transport like a lot of other infiltration missions? Being able to cram 14 or more agents in here felt like extreme overkill.

I'm afraid so; it's the only sensible way to govern what is enabled when.

I consider it a bonus from having a Dragonfly, which can easily be overlooked in favour of Osprey and later Skyraider.

This reply sounds like you think Den of Villainy is restricted to "concealable" craft, including Dragonfly. It is not, as noted in the original post. So this is an oversight I suppose.

Uhh, maybe I misunderstood...
Den of Villainy has the standard starting conditions for infiltration missions, meaning it restricts outfits, equipment and soldier types (no robots), but not craft. This is the same as with Cyberweb Recruitment and The Special Client, but unlike some missions which do also restrict your craft options.
I don't feel that this mission is too easy due to having more people, but it goes somewhat faster, which is a plus in my view.
