Post that palette then. Would be a good resource for any future modders.

Cool, now I just have to figure out the rest.

So here's an example I whipped up using that palette. I understand how to modify weapon stats and stuff, but how would I make a mod that just replaces a specific sprite? For example, I want to replace the camo sprites with this:

You need to make sure your images are:

1) the correct resolution. (320X200) - the size of the actual picture, including free space.

2) the correct pallet.

3) the correct Image size (aprox 60X105) - this is the size of the actual person/paperdoll.

4) the correct position in the image. (get this wrong, and your picture will be covered by the inventory slots/floor space)

Also, are you referring to the Inventory Image or the actual Battlescape Sprite, cause they are two totally diffrent things.

I got all that down for the positioning and size and palette. But yeah, I'm just talking about the inventory sprite in this instance. The Battlescape sprite looks fine.

how would I make a mod that just replaces a specific sprite?

Just do what I did, take a look in the ruleset(s) and how Dioxine did it - ie: the alternate graphics that come with X-Piratez.

Update:

Warrior - Now looks more like a biker chick and less like Mad Max's version of a potato sack.

I like it... except for I have no idea how that's protective (unlike Warrior).

Maybe this should be swapped with Leather Armor and Leather Armor can be an alternate costume for Warrior?

Leather armor is no longer called 'leather' since it was obviously defying the lore (which wasn't that established when this armor was created, ie. at the very beginning). Now it's called 'durathread armor'.
The warrior does look like a potato sack - you need all that mass to provide protection :) This one doesn't look protective at all, but who am I to judge? Personally I'd make it a fashion choice, not a proper armor, since it obviously provides little more than bare (mutant) skin :). But that's just my opinion.

I agree, warrior should be more "covering", but nice job anyway! Thank you :)

If you wish for something easy to spot on a sprite, there is also riot gears with imposing looking shoulder plates (cannot get a good front picture that does not involve violence).
