[TFTD][WEAPONS] Expanded Gauss Arsenal

I know it's only been a week in beta, but I think its safe to move it on out to final.

This mod expands the Gauss weapons for Terror from the Deep to include more gauss weapons and clips. This mod should increase the viability of Gauss weapons without altering any alien stats.



New Weapons Added
Small Gauss Pistol
Heavy Gauss Pistol
Gauss Assaulter (short range automatic weapon)
Gauss Shard Rifle (fires a spread effect like a shotgun)
Gauss Sniper Rifle
Gauss Suppressor (Rapid fire suppression weapon)
Gauss Grenade

New Clips for all Gauss Guns
Aqua Plastic Tipped (APT) clips for all Gauss weapons
Zrbite Core (ZC) clips for all Gauss weapons

Installation instructions: Place in the OpenXCom mods folder just like a normal XCom mod. Change gametype to Terror from the Deep.

Future Plans: None except fixing bugs and adjusting stats if enough people feel they need to be adjusted.

Modders may borrow any part of this mod they wish so long as I am credited.

Updated mod. Added Russian translation. Thanks vwtrotsky. Also added in en-GB strings which I forgot for some reason.

I'm slowly working on a combination/rewrite mod for TFTD, would you mind terribly if I used the resources for it?

Can you show us a video demo? Just to see the guns in action?

I complain about this a lot but I'd still alter alien stats because lobster men suck.

Personally I would suggest changeing this so you can get 5 or 6 clips per unit of Aqua Plastic / Zerbrite.

Other than that this is a great mod.

That was a cool mod.

Since i tried the new gauss weapons on the mod on TFTD. It looks pretty cool. I should do that some day (maybe?).

But i like it. *thumbs up*
NOTE:
I always do UFO instead of TFTD. But i don't do TFTD.

This is best mod for gauss weapon for tftd.. If you like TFTD, you need to have this for sure.

XOps, i saw your GaussWeaponsXcom.gif image (the sprites in UFO94 colors. I don't do TFTD, i do UFO), there are no handob and floorobs for those (especially the 2 bullet sprites colored just like the blue and yellow clips), but can you please do a UFO version of the floorob and handob sprites of the Gauss Weapons from EGA set  to the UFO defense battlescape colors (Along with the GaussAQRound and GaussZRound GIF files colored just like the UFO version of the EGA sprites).

These are very important for some people like me or anyone who likes Gauss Weapons in UFO Defense.
I can especially use those for Mass Driver (Not Mag Weapons (T1) just like XCOM2) beam weapons for a future TC mod i'm making for UFO defense in a future where i can do heavily mod-making plans for them.

But make sure you come back to this thread so that you update your mod to have the UFO version of the handob and floorob sprites, along with the GaussAQRound and GaussZRound sprites in UFO defense battlescape colors.

Could you please do that for me and everyone? :)
