well that escalated quickly.

tftd is much less forgiving and way harder than ufo defense. most aliens on superhuman get 100% accuracy.

calcinite is the yellow guy they have claws and huge TU and if you research their bodies you get the melee weapons tech which is super useful in tftd late in the game when u meet lobstermen. i think you should research sonic weapons asap the moment you get them sonic pistol and sonic blasta-rifle really high accuracy and very useful.
