Modding guides?
« on: October 10, 2014, 07:51:08 pm »
Just wondering, are there any guides or tutorials out there for modding openXcom? I'm mainly interested in the ability to add new assets to the game, like alien races, weapons, equipment, etc.

One question here.

I am trying to locate [Data] folder, but I can't find it. It surely is not in OpenXcom folder, and neither is it found in MyDocument either. Any tip?

Folder called "data" doesn't exist for many years now... what do you need it for?

Then where can I find the ruleset file?

In the installation directory, folder "standard", then subfolder "xcom1" or "xcom2" depending on the game you want to change.
There are many ruleset files now (since year 2015), not just one.

Ah... that was it.

Thank you very much.
