About Sectopods and their "laser" weapon.

Sorry for my bad English. I want to ask you about laser weapon of Sectopod. We know, that in original X-COM Sectopods do 100 laser damage (it just looks like plasma). However ufopaedia  of original X-COM said, that Sectopods shooting plasma.
So my question is: why developers decided to change ufopaedia's description instead Sectopod's damage modifier? Even more it looks like plasma.

They've probably concluded that some scientific report is a less reliable source than a 100 laser damage to the face.

I mean, maybe mistake of Mythos Games was not in word "plasma" in science report. Maybe mistake was in laser damage modifier. Maybe it must be plasma damage. Otherwise why it looks like plasma?

Damage type of this 4, which refers to laser beam. Only the animation makes it look like plasma.

Use this mod to fix it. :)

Or you can juste do nothing while no xcom armor has any damage difference between laser and plasma, it is pointless to change anything  ::)

Not pointless, as this change only changes how the beam LOOKS, geez.

I think it is possible that giving Sectopods a laser weapon was intentional. It doesn't change how they slice through X-Com units, but it makes a tremendous difference in their ability to demolish other Sectopods.
