Steam installation
« on: July 17, 2014, 09:49:30 pm »
I thought I had done everything correctly, all the files seem to be in the right place, but when I try to start , it says , GEODATA/PALETTES.DATA not found, so obviously something is wrong, any help would be appreciated.

Note the "data" folder with the X-COM assets inside.

your error is not attaching a screenshot of your folder so help avoiding useless guessing

Thanks for the help, it was just my own stupidity, not following instruction, I didn't realize I needed to create its own folder, took care of the problem.
