Weapon augmentation? Operatives equipment upgrade?

I'm sorry, but I can't imagine year 1999 without nightvision goggles and such.
1. Nightvision goggles.
2. Night scopes.
3. Scopes.
4. Laser designators.
5. Collimators.
6. Tactical Flashlights.
7. Under-barrel grenade launchers.
8. Silencers and flash suppessors.
And so on.

I want to collect all pokemons!

Have you played UFO: Aftershock? It has everything and more. :) And it's also my favourite game next to X-Com.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see in X-Com too. at least weapon mods.

I wish there was a better way to implement this than just "add" the weapon mod by manufacture the upgraded version by requiring both the weapon and the mod in the workshop. The workshop item menu would be a total chaos containing all the combinations of upgraded weapons and mods. :P

Yeah. I thought about this too, but ultimately decided it would be too painful.

the manufacture ruleset contains:
    category: STR_CRAFT_WEAPON
    category: STR_HEAVY_WEAPONS_PLATFORM
    category: STR_EQUIPMENT
    category: STR_WEAPON
    category: STR_PERSONAL_ARMOR
...
can we add a dropdown oprion to filter the list to the gui?
