Another bug is that clicking on "images" often dumps you back to the home page.

I confirm. This is a very annoying bug ...

https://openxcommods.weebly.com/  is re-opened for business.

Luke83 has graciously assigned IvanDogovich and Solarius Scorch as site admins.

Our intent is to provide an alternate venue for OpenXcom Modding Resources.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd like a page set up to host your mods, or links to your mods.

Cheers!

Hello,

We are currently in the process of revamping the modsite... This includes resolving the uploader issue that came when we moved to the new servers.. This will be resolved soon. Along with this we are adding Administration capability to allow a group of Moderators to help manage the site and have the tools to manage the entire website.. The Mod Site  is currently going through Phase 2 and resolving current issues and also giving access and power to Moderators to help manage the website..

Please let us know any comments / feedback / ideas / questions and we'll be happy to assist.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Jo5hua

--- posts merged. Man, they were literally 1 minute apart :/ ---

Another bug is that clicking on "images" often dumps you back to the home page.

Every single bug on the website is being put on a bug list. Every single bug will be addressed and resolved. Thank you for reporting!

--- ...and this one was 3 minutes later, WTF? ---

BTW, Everyone please we are working on the modsite right now... Please do give us your ideas of what you would like to see on the modsite... Right now is the time to put your ideas and feedback in and we will be taking care of it.. Thank you and please get the word around so we can get everyone's thoughts and ideas so we can make a plan and make this happen!

Happy New Year,

Jo5hua

Suggestion:
An option to e-mail notify an author when a comment is posted on a Mod Page.

The comment system already supports this, I will need to look at it and see how we can enable comment notification for everyone as it's already in the comment system as a working function just hidden right now.

I wanna upload a mod, but I can't seem to register on the mod portal. I am not getting the confirmation message. And yes, I know how junk folders work etc.

In fact, one of my emails seems to already be taken, so I must have tried before, but when I try to go to https://www.openxcom.com/account/forgotpassword/ , it just puts me at https://www.openxcom.com/account again. Soooo... no password recovery?

We will be uploading a new version of the modsite that will resolve many of these issues to meet demands... Markus for the mean time send me your registered email and info and I'll reset your password manually. Thank you!

New password has been sent =) The new site will have the Forgot Password working. Thanks!

Posts criticizing Jo5hua got deleted from this thread, and there is no moderator's notice on whose and why. Can I have an explanation? Do posts 'disappear' from other topics without any notice as well?

Dear Joshua,

I would kindly like to report a very tiny and insignificant bug... the downloads from the mod site don't work since August 2015.

Here is a very recent example from April 2017: http://www.openxcom.com/mod/test-4

Steps to reproduce:
1. create a new mod
2. upload a file
3. save and publish the mod
4. try to download... about 10-15% of files uploaded this way can't be downloaded

I hope this can be resolved quickly (i.e. in about 2-3 more years or so) and I'm fully available for any further assistance you may need.

Sincerely,
Meridian

Uh-oh, I feel the drama is coming this way. Sol, should this tread be locked to avoid any impure storms here?

Nah, no rules broken, I have no right to intervene.
