Wanted to do a fresh install of OpenXCom but the modportal has been down for quite a while now. Hope it will come back at some point? I miss playing my favorite game of all time :)

Are there any mirror sites available that we can use in the meantime? Just need the bare essentials: PSXmusic, Luke's extra UFO and terror missions etc

Cheers!

If you check the history, we've heard "All remaining issues will be resolved soon." already months and months ago... I wouldn't be too optimistic, yet.

EDIT: btw. great nickname, 486DX2 was my first PC :) 33 MHz with a turbo button for 66 MHz !!  8) And xcom ran pretty slowly on it until I upgraded from 4 MB RAM to 8 MB RAM... which cost me a fortune :P

Ah ok, well I guess I just need to be a bit more patient then

But yes, that's the exact reason for picking this nickname: although I had several other pc's before that (386SX anyone?), I had the most fun with my trusty 486DX2. I don't recall how much RAM I had in there, but luckily I never had any problems with running XCOM. I do remember having to free up as much conventional memory as I could by removing several TSR programs in order to play some games.....

My first time with X-Com was playing on amiga. Of course without HD. So juggling floppies all the time :) Having it later on PC was so much better ;)

My first Computer was a Commodore 64, I got back in 1985 - Google it if you don't know what it is.

First Machine I Played X-com on - Atari 500, No hard drive, Game was on 4 floppy disks, and you had to save to a fifth.

Currently useing Windows 7 Pro on AMD A4-4000 - BIG diffrence.

I didn't have a C64, but I often borrowed it.

It gets worse - The first PC I ever used, My dad's ZX Spectrum, DOS only, Programs were stored on Tapes (Like the ones you put in a Walkman) and they took forever to load, and you used the TV as a screen.

I also had Delta (ZX Spectrum), but only borrowed... best computer ever!
But as far as I know, it's not a PC and it didn't have DOS :)

Last few days my every attempt to reach the Mod site, ether through site Links or just entering the URL, gets the following responce.

Error 523 Ray ID: 33f57c8e331418ea • 2017-03-14 07:23:15 UTC

Does anyone know why?
