game display goes screwy and dont know why

This looks great but when im playing it suddenly goes all lsd look on me.
I cant figure out why.
is it my display setting or the filter type and if so what setting should I use?
im running windows 7 premium.
do you need more comp information or is this enough?
if you need more information please tell me how to get a record of my dxdiag box and post it here.
ive heard of people doing that in the forums looking for an answer but I don't know how myself.
please help this looks great to play with all the new options.
ive been playing x-com since 94 when I beat it on a friends comp.

print screen, and then you can post it to imgur.com or something. It allows you to paste it directly after print screening, no need to save it first.

you didn't tell me how to make a screenshot.
theres a prtsc on the end key in the numpad but I did that and nothing happened.
please this time tell me how to make a screenshot like I asked so I don't waste 15 min. trying to make one with no instructions how which is why I asked how in the first place.

I am heading to bed. Print screen takes the screen shot. It prints the screen. Imgur.com is where you print the picture to. There are the instructions. If you have trouble with it, you can always google it.

Also, I probably won't be able to fix your problem, I just know that a screen shot would help the devs.

I googled it and it says use the print screen button but I don't have a print screen button.
please help me so I can try to play.
I spent 2 days getting ufoextender and xcomutil to work together and then it bugged and doesn't display the names on locations on the geoscape so im trying openxcom.
I really want to play.

okay I pushed f12 like 20 times after it happened but it didn't do anything.
am I supposed to find the screenshot somewhere and if that's so how do I post it once im done making and finding the screenshot that is?

if you're on windows the screenshots will end up in "C:\Users\<your name here>\Documents\OpenXcom"
simply attach the image to your next post using the "Attachments and other options" section below where you type.
also make sure you're using the latest nightly build from HERE

im thinking that this is something to do with the pixel graphics chooser that doesn't say what each type is for so ill still post it but thanks for the heads up on the nightly build.
ill definitely do that as soon as I get the screenshot.
might be a while though since my roomy wants the comp to watch skyfall on Netflix.

just watched skyfall.
pretty good flick.
I downloaded latest nightly build but since it didn't ask to overwrite anything when I extracted it to openxcom folder I checked and it either made a new folder called the same thing or theres another file named exactly the same thing in the openxcom folder called openxcom as well.
exactly the same file name.
what do I do?
im going to go try and get that screen shot now.

I don't understand it.
I looked in that place you told me and found the screenshots.
there was like 40 of them and I know I pushed the key when the game was all L.S.D hallucinogenic looking but the screenshots all show up normal.
what could be causing this?
maybe my display setting is wrong?
also when it does it and I leave out of whatever area its doing it in like go back to base screen or geoscape from battle it reverts to normal and it does it in every area.
first time it occurred was when I was fixing the game options.
it has to be either the display setting or that graphic hqx pixel setting underneath the display option or whatever its called.
is there a place where I can get info on what 2 settings to use?
1 for the proper display setting and 1 for the proper hqx pixel thingy setting?

p.s-sorry I didn't attach a screenshot but they all came out normal for some reason so I figured that wont help at all but since that did happen maybe it gives somebody a clue as to what is really happening.
