Soldier Stat Grid
« on: September 12, 2013, 07:26:41 pm »
I think this idea might have been suggested before but would be nice to have some soldier stat grid where it's easy to compare all the soldiers stats at the same time. Something similar like Ultimate Soccer Manager 98 had.

so XCOM version would be. TU, EN, HE, BR, MR, RE, FA, TA, ST and PS.

Just a nicer way to look at the soldier stats to see who is best for what role instead of scanning soldier by soldier.

Also another suggested suggestion which I want to suggest again is a memorial wall to reminisce about fallen soldiers. (Unless it hasn't been suggested in which case I suggest that I suggest it)

Nonono... The simple version of the original is much better... ^^

Things like that make me more confused... :(
I tend to also just add to a troopers name what they should be used for. =3

I like such view. Also something like that could be used for ufoapedia - for example weapon stats grid. That way you could easy compare them with each other.

Something like this?:

Except not so awful-looking, of course.

Yup, like that, less awful looking xD

I don't mean it to be a replacement to the original soldier view, just an additional option like Align put so you can easily compare all the soldiers at a base. Especially as you can't see improvement with the database style view.

I don't think it's worth it for UFOPaedia though, it's not too hard to compare one weapon from another and there aren't really that many weapons, the text is important as well in the UFOPaedia so it would be hard to fit that into a database view. Trying to compare multiple stats for soldiers though to try and fit them into roles is more difficult though.

I never had trouble with assigning roles... :\

I see no need of it...
