It would be great, if the item weights were visible in the ufopaedia.
From time to time I check there the weapon stats and try to figure out, how I should equip my rookies and that one important information is sadly missing
.

Well, atm there's an option to add a weight counter to the soldier stat menu, which pretty much covers for what your want. It's in the advanced options menu. Although I agree it would be neat to have item weight on the ufopaedia.

Yes, the weight counter in the equipment screen is really a great improvement. However, there we have no direct overview on the other weapon stats (damage, TUs, accuracy). Of course this could be solved by adding tool tips with that information in the equipment screen
.
Another small improvement would be the possibility to page through the ufopaedia with the mouse wheel.
