recommendedUserOptions

How does recommendedUserOptions work exactly?  :)

Does it work only the first time a mod is activated?

I tried adding a few recommendedUserOptions in my mod, then disabling and enabling it again, with no results.

They're only applied the first time you switch to any mod that has any recommendedUserOptions (built-in mods don't have any). And then never again unless you delete options.cfg or press the Restore Defaults in options (in this case, on the subsequent game start or mod switch).
