Need help installing OpenXCom on the steam deck GEODATA issue

Hi,

I'm a big fan of XCom Ufo Defense. I downloaded it on my steam deck and wanted to install OpenXCom following a guide on steam.

and even looking at the official guide, but I keep on getting the same message."ERROR:GEODATA/PALETTES.DAT not found".

I have searched the internet and others have come across this problem, but not on steam deck.

I have tried both with Xcom Ufo Defense installed and uninstalled and the same message keeps popping up, when I try to execute the Appimage.

I would like to add, that I'm almost 50 and terrible at anything related to computers. So I really need comprehensible help with this.

Problem solved using luxtorpeda!!! There is a tutorial on youtube.
