First hello to all here. Great that this forum exists

Then here comes my question.

Im not sure if the problem i have/found is solved then sorry for my post... but:

I installed the following:

OpenXcom Extended 1.7.8 [v2023-07-03]
X-Com Files v. 3.1

I tink "all" is OK, only the soldier-name-extension for the STATS arnt shown.
If i switch back to the X-Com without "X-FILES" all is OK for me.

Anybody has an idea what im doing wrong or what i did forget to do.

And another question. Is ist poosible to install the most of the MODS i found in the database and if not why NOT

you are not doing anything wrong

StatStrings mod is not targeted to XComFiles
only mods compatible with XcomFiles are shown, others are hidden

Thats what i thought too about that. Only there is an youtube-streamer thats uses xcom and xfiles together. And i wonder why. Maybe he has an older openxcom version. Do u know where i can download older openxcom versions? for me it seems thats the only way to download is the "NIGHTLIES". Do u know another way ?

xcomfiles doesn't work with openxcom at all, never did
you need openxcom extended, and you need a new version

In my first post i wrote that i use openXcom extended. If i start the game that message is showing to me:

So i think all is OK. In my meaning "openXcom extended" runs perfect except that i dont see the StatsString and i dont know why. Thats the little problem. If u dont have an idea i have to play the game without and train my brain bit more.

Now all problems are gone. A good old friend helped me with my openXcom [xfiles] - installation. Seems that there was a problem with the StatsString-file. He fixed that for me.

So THX for your help -MERIDIAN-. I think it wasnt easy because my small bad english.

Maybe i will see u later with more questions to the game
