No spider queen on spider nest mission

I just got the spider nest mission, but there was no queen on the map. I killed 46 regular spiders, and then the mission came to an end. I never saw a queen, nor was there a queen corpse.

The queen is supposed to be in the underground stage of the mission. Did you not get to proceed to that?

It was the same in my game, Spider Nest Underground without queen. Attached is the save file at the end of the mission. (If needed, I have a save file for the beginning of the underground stage of the mission and the end of the ground stage)

Strange, but it indeed does happen, even in 2.8. Perhaps a lack of spawn nodes?

Yep, the queen isn't guaranteed to spawn down there. Also, queens can spawn in closed-off space in citizens vs monsters and be blocked.

That's unlikely; I checked all the maps and barring the starting blocks, all of them have at least one large unit spawn. But I added a bit more just in case.

If you notice such a case, then it's a node error. There are thousands of nodes across hundreds of map blocks, so I can't check them all, therefore a report would be appreciated.

What I meant is that I think the Queens are spawned last? Does the order in the .rul files determine spawn order? And if all the spots are taken by small spiders, what's their momma going to do?

Or maybe the large units spawn first? In that case this is really strange.

I'm not sure, but I assume that the queen indeed spawns last. Hence why I wrote "unlikely", and not "impossible". And I hope the new nodes will help.
