Very cool sounding weapon mod not working
« on: March 06, 2022, 10:03:56 am »
I just downloaded OpenXCom, installed it to E:\Games\OpenXcom.

Set the folder to xcom/ufo defense version 1.4.

Downloaded this mod:

x-piratez-high-quality-sounds-unofficial

Unpacked it into mod folder, moved everything so it's in "root" of mod folder so no special mod related folder.

This causes the mod to show up in the nightly build of OpenXcom.

At the bottom of the list I can see the sets.

I enable all of them... but when I play the game the new weapons sounds are not there ? Just standard sounds ?

How do I get this working ? Is it broken ?

Can I only select one ?

Must I move them to the top ?

Is there any other option I must enable maybe in config ?

Should I use a different version of OpenXCom ?

Bye for now,
  Skybuck.

No, I would like to use these sounds for just normal x-com that would be very cool, perhaps with some modest mods.

I see multiple XPirates mods, I will try Dioxines_XPiratez_M4.1.2 again, last time I tried to install it as a mod, that didn't work, but this seems to be a complete package, so I'll try again.

OK, I learned how to set the master mod lol, now XPiratez is working but a very strange mod lol.

I am starting to understand the mod files rulesets and such I might be able to make my own sound mod soon, cool ! =D

I tried this mod on the piratez so far it did not impress me yet but maybe ;)
