where would someone find an

alien brain to do an autopsy on to learn about the alien neural network to know about alien maps ?  :D

In orbit. You need spaceflight, HW decoders, leader and commander briefings (the background ones, not just an interrogation) and luck (30% chance per month to trigger.)

You should get one brain corpse ("Alien brain remains") regardless, and possibly another if you don't blow up the mini-brain that's present on the map. Since it's very new content, there might be bugs (e.g. the small brain doesn't have a middle-click inventory image (yet?)).

It just happens that it spawned this month and I just did it and got what I was after.

The first part of the mission (space section) is somewhat impossible without an AI to spot for you, I used a cyberdisc
