Pigeon battlescape sprites

Geo is pretty horrible and in some places outright broken, but naturally it doesn't matter because we're rendering to 400px. I've included the .blend source in case anyone wants to make improvements or use it as a base for something else.

I palletize the render in photoshop, first by applying -10% brightness, +50% contrast, and then indexing without any dithering. Then I save that, and index again with pattern dithering.
Then put the dithered layer on top, with the darken blend mode. (you can use lighten too, but darken looks best here imo.) I manually mask out some parts of the darken layer and generally make some touchups to hide the bad geo.

It's pretty huge, maybe too big to actually work in game, I don't know the limits.
If it's too long then I could cheat and bring the tail in closer. The wingspan could be addressed by having them fold up:

I don't know anything about implementing this in game, other than it's a pain in the ass. If anyone wants to help with that, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I'll slowly figure it out myself at some point.
I haven't made an interior yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to do cutaways for each level and just paste some existing interior inside of it. I'm gonna wait until the dimensions are definitely okay before I start.

if you wanna tip, just alter Osprey map, it´s 1000x times easier, and add your parts on specific part´s of map, also use other map i created for the front part and your done.
Anyway if you go other path, good luck with that nightmare
