Mostly just trying to get that living ghoul, without them causing trouble later.  Mostly they're just irritating, unless you're unprepared for the car.

Ghouls will surrender once knocked unconscious, so as long as you get everybody else to surrender, kill/knock unconscious all the enemies that can't surrender (dogs, terror units, leaders, etc.), and keep weapons away from the ghouls as they wake up, you don't need to worry about re-stunning them.

What's the best way to deal with an early game armored car anyway?  Bombs?  Molotovs?  Heavy shotguns?

If you're ever unsure, use a hammer.

Or an axe.

Hammer and axes are effective, though notably the car's under armor is pretty thin at 35. Even with it's 25% concussive resist, explosives with 50 or more damage will usually penetrate. Keep in mind that large units take damage for ever tile of them that's in an aoe.

Even the humble black-powder bomb will do around 40 damage on an accurate throw. Car only has 90 HP.

Another thing you can take advantage of is that the car's NV is a paltry 9 compared to gals's base 16. At night the thing is almost blind.

Failed Close Quarters Combat Check!!!!!

Needs good melee accuracy not to fail, still more reliable than most guns at one tile.
