One thing I like to do is have someone move out of cover into the open then crouch up and down. When someone shoots at them they get hit with a mortar shell and my scout gets back into cover

Of course in real life, the only reliable defense against bullets is to not get shot in the first place, so that at least is reasonable.
The hard cover and corner thing, I mean.

True but in real life maneuver and other tactics are viable/reasonable risk. In this mod they are not. Smoke largely useless, suppression doesn't exist, and individual gals represent such a large fraction of available/total force that most calculated risks = nope.
