Can you Build a 100% save Base with Defense facilities in OpenXcom

there's no such thing as a 100% safe base.

you can have 20 fusion defenses and 5 grav shields, and statistically speaking, there's still a probability (however immeasurably small) that the aliens will make it through, exactly like in the original.

think of it this way: in a complete set of possible outcomes of 100 random numbers from 0 to 100, there exists one outcome that is all zeroes.

Question about OpenXcom behavior.  If a battleship en route to attacking an Xcom base is shot down (via interceptors or base defenses), will it be like in the original where another battleship is simply sent to attack until one finally gets through or will there be no more battleships as though it managed to attack the base?

But is the AI forced to attack very aggressiv with excessive amount of ships, like in the original ? that was always a "bit" to extreme
