If several projects (both research or manufacture) are ready in one day, there is little point to undertake new one before reading all incoming reports. But the player is clueless which report will be the last one for today.

So basically "allocate" button should be disabled for all post-report windows except last.

An alternative QoL suggestion might be: if there is another report to come, instead of "OK" the upper button would say "Next". Then the player would know if he would not want to bother with allocations yet.

1/ manufacture projects are completed hourly, not daily

2/ I personally want to allocate new research as soon as I read each report, there's no way I remember what the first report was after let's say 6 reports and what I wanted to research next based on that first report... but I'm glad your memory is much better than mine

3/ the game also doesn't "know" which report is the last, and teaching it would require a lot of effort in the code that I have no desire to change

4/ the game knows even less what the "next" report will be, and teaching it would require even more effort than in point 3/

Feel free to try to implement yourselves and see if it's worth it.

But what if your beelined prerequisite will be ready only on, say, fifth report? Or you can start more important project based on another forecoming prerequisites?

The projects are all finished in the same game tick (together with a million other things that happen once a day), long before you even see the first report.

All new research is already available before you finish reading the reports.

Test save attached (showing you can research Plasma Cannon before you read all reports).

You are absolutely right. Wonder from where I got such impression.

So this behavior is entirely matter of experience and personal preference.

In far future it would be cool to have all those research reports just in one scrollable window as list with buttons (similar to those with ongoing projects).

I would rather suggest to keep existing behavior, it is already very complex...
