Temporary recruit ?
« on: October 31, 2024, 11:22:49 am »
Hello

I'm part of the Rosigma dev team and i designed an unit that will join the player base as a reward from completing a chain of missions.
Up to that it works so it's not the problem.

That unit is really strong, something that is intended as it makes sense lore wise , but my intention is that such unit will only join the player temporarly (as to not just break the whole campaign balance and progression), by example the unit could just join for a month and leave.

But my problem is then how to do that : how to remove the unit from the player roster after a specific amount of time ?

There is no specific way to remove unit in global game.
You can remove an item (and HWP-like unit) from your base storage by an event. But it can cause bugs, if a player moves this item from one base to another, as events checks item by the first second of a month. You can spawn an event with zero delay, though.
Also you can remove unit after battle via script. So you can create one-use helper.

Thanks for the answer.
I was starting to think that wouldn't be possible as i never saw that in other mods, and indeed it's not unfortunately.
Will have to find another way.

I'm also keen on this feature
A fella is working on a nice update for more functionality
Should be ready in a month or bit less
Keep your idea handy
Is also working on lots more battlefield stuff
And other useful things
Will report more as I hear it
