Terror mission confusion
« on: February 07, 2024, 12:06:11 am »
Hey there.

Just starting out with this fantastic mod. Really enjoying it, for the most part, even if it is kicking my ass.

One major problem I am having is terror missions.

Is there any clear way to tell what's an enemy and what's a "civilian"? It's mostly just guardsman or arbites looking people running around, and I'm having a hard time knowing which to kill until they actually attack me. And I know the game gives harsh penalties for killing friendlies?

Is this just a "lol git gud and memorise all the sprites scrub!" kind of situation, or is there some way of telling friend from foe that I am just overlooking?

- Colors on minimap
- Enemies can be cycled through numdered boxes on the right side, unlike friendlies
- Middle click suspect, look for "traitor" or such in their name
- Different sprite colors? Lol, git gud!  :)

Thanks for the reply.

I was unaware about the colours on the minimap. That will be especially helpful!

As for the coloured "enemy boxes" I thought friendlies showed up with those as well. That was part of my distress. Confirming that I was wrong puts me somewhat at ease.

And of course, if something is named "traitor" it's easy, but when someone is named something like "PDF Medic". That's when I start having doubts about whether they're friend or for (turns out it was an enemy and it hits like a truck).

In summary. Armed with your reply, I will be a lot more confident going into terror missions. So again, thank you.
