soldiers don't save loadout

recently redownloaded the game, and now my soldiers don't keep their loadout from one battle to the next. it's either auto loadout from equipment in the craft, or they carry nothing and i have to manually equip them every battle

If you're using OXCE and if you have the "Alternate craft equipment management" option turned on.... then it is a feature.

Quoting the relevant part:

- the soldiers' inventory templates are only saved/updated in the following situations:
  1. in the base, via Soldiers > Inventory (or I hotkey)
  2. in the base, via Craft Equipment > Inventory
They are NOT saved/updated anymore in these situations:
  3. after the Briefing (before the first mission stage)
  4. in-between mission stages (for multi-stage missions)
