Trying to add new music!
« on: June 15, 2021, 04:09:39 am »
I'm making a music submod, keeping the original escence of the original music in Xfiles! Solarius, since you answered my last post, could you give me any information on how to make certain songs to play only at (for example) cults?

So, I would like to add a special music for base attacks. What should I do?

Most important, what is "catPos:"? "catPos: 19, catPos: 9, catPos: 10", etc

Thanks in advance!

According to the Ruleset Reference, catPos is "The track's index in the catalog (CAT) file. Only relevant for music stored in CAT files, obviously."
This means that you don't have to set it at all for a new track. You only need to enter its name.

To use your track on a specific deployment, add this in alienDeployments:

Code: [Select]
    music:
      - YOUR_TRACK
