How do I use HWPs?

I can't load a HWP on any craft: I have two tanks (minigun and laser) and an OSPREY and a KITSUNE, and the tanks do not show up in the equipment in any combination. Am I missing something?

Why would they shop up in equipment in the first place? They're AI armours. Armours aren't shown in the equipment.

Buy the Basic AI Unit. HWPs are armors for it.

Oh, duh!
For some reason I thought that armor worked only for small drones, and HWPs were working as original XCom. Thanks!
