Can´t research alien stuff I have in my base

Hey guys,

Installed Open XCOM and the Final mods pack just a couple of days ago and am enjoying it much. However, I have just about researched everything (Martian Solution, Laser weapons etc). However, I have a lot of alien stuff I recovered from earlier missions that I can´t research. I have tens of hundreds of plasma weapons, alien grenades, mind probes, blasters but none of these show up in the research screen. Have I become the victim of a research bug? Or is such a thing not possible in open Xcom?

No, you just need to research some technology before, which will give you access to advanced tech, e.t.c.
