[SOLVED] Difficulty levels in xpiratez?

Good evenni everyoe! after posting this, and havin rad the related answer, in the following post i was wondering about the difficulty level curve in xpiratez; waht is the value range, if any? Thanks :)

To me, difficulty is more about knowing the right tactics. Watch some let's plays of piratez, to see if you can learn something.

At Jack Sparrow, every enemy gets an extra +20% armor, has more reactions, more TU and better accuracy. And there are a lot more enemies. Better start from a low difficulty and raise it if you don't feel challanged.

The game is balanced with the third difficulty in mind, I believe.  It would be nice if you could have the enemy units set to 3 but enemy spawns set to 5, or mess with other factors.

Yes, moreover i noticed when player choose a difficulty level starting a new game from scratch, the saved gam files for that game are always one step back, eg saved a game started at "jack sparrow" level but in the .sav file difficuly serms to be set at 4, there is a strings that read

difficulty = 4 so actually it ranges between 1 or 5 five ir do exist higher values?

Almost everything in OpenXcom is 0-indexed, so difficulty ranges from 0 to 4.
