Translating the Windows Installer

I asked a friend who is an IT specialist how to best translate "portable installation" to keep with standards. His response:

Hmm... Something like a "Portable Installation" is not possible: portable is contradictory to the installation. I would write that "program does not require creating an entry in the Windows registry."

Since I'm unwilling to go that far, my previous translation remains. I'm just throwing this info in case you care.

Yeah it's kind of a misnomer, but it's a common term: https://www.google.com/webhp?q=portable%20installation ("portable version", "portable app", etc, are also acceptable)
In our case we just keep all the data and user files in one place so it's easy to move around.
