thx for this remake. the interface improvements and moddability over the original game are awesome.

i played it for a while (on highest difficulty), but i wonder about the number of aliens in ufos. i had lukes extra ufos mod activated most of the time, but from what i understand this should not change the number of aliens that occur on the map. in medium scouts i've seen up to 8 aliens (max 5 in original game), and i quit playing after i had 13 in a large scout.

my problem is not, that more aliens might make the game harder (actually it doesn't because more aliens = more money), but it's tedious. i prefer the strategic game and dislike long tactical battles (which is also the reason why i prefer xcom 1 over TFTD). in the changelog to the original game i didn't see anything about the number of aliens. could anyone explain to me, how to sensefully mod the number of aliens in ufos? in the ruleset the base value + difficulty factor sums up to about what i think is the usual number for superhuman in the original game. but it seems to be calculated differently.

also, in two games i had each a terror attack in the first month (one of them with 16 aliens, but i don't know these numbers in the original game). was that just bad luck?

wish list for future versions: an auto-calculate tactical combat option, so it can be played as a strategic game only. (should actually not to be too hard since there is a tactical AI for the aliens already)

If you don't want so many aliens, don't play on the highest difficulty level. A lot of players prefer playing on Genius exactly because the increased amounts of aliens and stats can make the game very tedious.
