Some Ruleset and other questions

Q1.  I've noticed that I can see my soldiers PSI staats right from the start of the game, but IIRC I did not select psi training at any time, or psi evaluation. So, it means that after making Psi Amps I can use it, without building Psi Labs ?

Q2. The ufo extender accuracy (when it's ON) is supposed to make the game harder by lowering acc. at long distance, or is it something else?

Q3.  In the Ufopaedia site, they list the hand Items in HANDOB.PCK from 0 to 15
but in the xcom1Ruleset file, there are items like: STR_PISTOL    handSprite: 96
and others as well, so there are more sprites? and is there an updated list somewhere?
My intention was to make each grenade look right while in the soldiers hands.

1. IIRC there is an option that enables the sowing of psistats without training
2. the effect i see is it makes autoshoot useful in short range but less so further away - i like it

there are 15 rows but 8 images per row
so e.g. the default handobj "grenade" is 120 = row 15 * 8

Q4. Finally I made a Sectoid (armor) so I can fake that I have aliens on my squad. But now the weapons look floating and not on their hands. How can I fix it?

change the standHeight/kneelHeight parameter in soldiers?
Edit: perhaps that should be put into armor instead of unit/soldier?

Oh yes, definitely. After all, armor is the only place where physical dimensions are described.

Thanks! That works on 'soldiers' but doesn't seem to work on 'armors'
On standHeight: 16 the Sectoid people have the guns in place, but the rest of human soldiers don't.
So I set it to 19 for all,  (and now soldiers are shorter?) but I can live with it.

Also, Sectoids are the only unit with loftemps: 2
I have the same value on my Sectoid armors but don't know what it does.

you could move the sectoid image(s) up 3 pixel so the weaponposition is the same as normal armor (but they would not stand exactly in the middle of a square anymore)
