Play video on event ?

So I was wondering is there a way to introduce in code to play video on events such as ufo detected ufo destroyed, and one for craft lost.  Each can be pre made videos and if we do say have the possibilitycan they also be conditional such as day or night ?

I understand atm only win and lose are coded events i think its possible to create (and i could be wrong here )
A series of un hard coded  events in game.

If possible a video for research complete
 if the engine allows for reserch set back

Autopsy reserch videoss and or ability to review an Autopsy  video as long as one is in the inventory
A view in alien containment videoclip

More things to add spice to the game. I'm right now creating ufo dogfighting videos
I plan on alien attacks on bases with win  / lose the defense battle with the ufo destroyed or not.
Lose of base to aliens or successful defense of base.

there are:
- research completed cutscenes
- mission briefing cutscenes
- mission win/loss/abort cutscenes
- game win/loss cutscenes... each type of loss can have different cutscene

ok so only 3 years later lol

so how do I set up folder layout assume its "research completed cutscenes"? I have to tools to make the proper filetype and video

there are no special requirements for folder layout, you can use whatever you like
