How to edit and update a saved game without start over again

Hello, since the new N10 verison was relasedon 24 nov 2024, i wonder if it might be possible to edit a savegame in case there are some breaking chances in an update that wulkd spoil game experience.

That is indeed the case of N10, whre was addad a new path - the ?life is hybrid? one - but updatin a prevous game won't lock the aforementioned choiche reagrdin the path so player might use both (for some reference see here )

Now in such cases, it possible to edit a saved gamesafley without screwing a game run? If so, in the hybrid case, what are the edits to be done? Thanks.

Easiest method is to just r-click hide this tech (?Life Is Hybrid?), but you can also edit save to mark it as disabled. I don't remember how, though.

all right thanks, but i'm kida perfectionist so i'm looking for a more radical soution if possible  Ayone knows going the edit way?


as for the new n10 "life is hybrid" research path it seems to work fine because it unlocks the other path properly, so once i research it hands in black market are not avaiable anymore, see screenshots:

Thanks! I tried replacing "HYBRID" with "CAT", but cats are still for hire in black market, so no chance but hide the path I'd like to update also my very old saves  :-[no other ways. Attched is an old one

My catgirls save has the following related lines, so I expect it's one of these you'll need as 2:
  STR_CATGIRL_RECRUITMENT: 0
  STR_CATGIRL_TOURIST_RECRUITMENT: 1
  STR_CATGIRL_VICTIM_RECRUITMENT: 1
  STR_CAT_PATH: 1
  STR_CAT_PAWS: 1

Though honestly if the saves are also pre-catgirl you're going to have LOTS of problems, should probably just re-start.

Catgirls can be purchased on any path (with Contacts: Nekomimi and Recruit: Catgirl tech). Outlaw Catgirls can be purchased only on Cat Path. If you already researched the cat path, then you need to also remove STR_CAT_PATH and STR_CAT_PATH_PREQ from the discovered: section

OK, so after some tries in the researchRuleStatus: to disable cats, the strings to be present for the cat path to be disabled are:

  STR_CAT_PATH: 2
  STR_CAT_PATH_PREQ: 2

while to have gals enable, need to have related ones are:

  STR_GALS_ARE_SUPERIOR: 1
  STR_GALS_ARE_SUPERIOR_PREQ: 1

Edit: whereas: 0=not discovered/active 1=researched, active 2=disabled not researchable. Please correct me if im wrong!
