Totally unrelated note, but what exactely is the point of the UAC raid in caveman disguises? Going in with absolutely no armor against superior odds is bound to end in fuck up of epic proportions, as demonstrated by my team getting nailed in the first round by rocket launcher wielding armored up UAC strike team. I also don't think arriving in a Dragonfly fits in with the cavemen disguise btw.

Going over this again right now - to be frank, the whole concept of that missions just strikes me as badly designed. At that point X-COM knows what kind of gear UAC is selling and what precautions somebody would take who is illegally distributing those weapons. Why would X-COM choose a cavemen disguise of all things? For the lolz?

Would you have a save?

These are the ones before the bug hunt kicks in, but I already had my sectopod walker near it in one of them, hope it helps

It is possible to go on a faraway mission in a van, get an agent lightly injured, and then have this agent recover and assign to another craft before the original van is even back. I did not test, but I suspect that it should be possible to have all agents on a mission injured and then have a craft going back to base without a pilot.
This strikes me like an OXCE issue and not related to XCF. Would you mind reporting this in the OXCE-subforum as well?

In fact, not always. Sometimes, when aliens know or have guesses about your troops, they can ambush. In ambush, they leave behind 70-90% TU, which should be enough for return fire.

I didn't say anything about that.

I said that the correct assumption "reaction fire doesn't trigger on door opening at all" and the wrong assumption "reaction fire doesn't trigger on door opening because of mutual surprise" both lead to the same result "reaction fire doesn't trigger on door opening".

I don't know if it is possible to add a fire trigger in this case, but if so, could you tell me which commands are needed and where to add them? :) :) :)

No, it's not possible by modding or scripting.

The only way is changing openxcom's source code.

But the end result is the same :)

1) All units are subject to "mutual surprise rule". Whatever act the brings a unit in view of a foe is ignored for reaction checks. In this case opening the door. And because its your turn your likely to kill the guy before he gets another chance to check reactions.

2) AI is kinda dumb, each unit is more or less alone when it comes to processing how to act. Aside from some special mechanics(which are unused outside of mods) they act on what they themselves can currently see, and nothing else. So yeah frequently they are blissfully unaware of what's going on in the next room or behind them in the same room since its not in there 90 degree cone of reality.
thanks for the explanation ;)

Did a landed MIB bomber coverup mission and one MIB Heavy Trooper just came out with literally no weapon, when one of my guys managed to KO him I noticed he had UAC Chaingun ammo, but no actual chaingun

Yeah, my bad. Fixed...

Solarius, the randomized base names that you picked can result in names that are over the character length limit. This is apparently not intended, as it can interfer with other parts of the UI.

It can happen. I'm not going to reduce the name base to one syllable words, it'll just suck universally. I'd rather count on the player to just correct any issues manually.

Is it not well known that ninjas and pirates are mortal enemies?   Why wouldn't ninjas rob a pirate bank?
(sorry, bored at work)

My attempts to edit this flag failed, so I postponed it indefinitely. :P

I just managed to get to the vampire castle, I always skip this mission and figured I'd actually try to do it, it took me 40 turns to find this little guy just stuck in there, I had to shoot the stairs off, there was no other way in and it was nearly impossible to know he was there without the bug hunt radar

I'll check, thanks.

Would you have a save?

Yeah, that was (supposed to be) my original question - are you balancing the mod towards manufacturing not being viable to support x-com financially?

Yes, definitely, for several reasons, both gaming and lore.

Guys I just read Stellar Empire Report 004 here - https://www.xpiratez.wtf/en-US##STR_REPORT_004 and they say Star Gods' true goal is to create a God "to unpreside over the Materium in perfect unconsciousness of death" whatever that means.

So... They are just like SEELE from Evangelion who want to kill everyone and "make us whole"? Or maybe they want to create something like Chaos Gods from Warhammer or even Warp itself? And we are just Guinea Pigs for their experiments with souls and other stuff?

P. S.: also thank you guys for tips about seductress outfit, because I never used it before and always thought "wtf is this?" :)
