Player should be able to set eqipment once and do not worry about it each time he begins a mission.

Can that be done? I hope so!!

Suggestions / Re: Door open TU cost
« on: June 16, 2012, 01:50:25 pm »
Sorry for bumping an old thread.

I'll start by saying I don't know how Time Units are measured. I think this question needs answering--> How do X-COM operatives open doors if they're carrying a two-handed weapon or even if they're carrying a pistol, what about a door that might possibly be locked anytime anywhere? Yes, all doors in the game just open for you anytime(even garage doors and UFO doors), so I can definitely see an operative kicking a door open every time, because it's an aggressive way to get a door opened quick and without needing worry if it's locked or unlocked.

I'm just speculating here. If X-COM operatives kick a door open, it would also consume some energy too. Also I think since UFO doors have a slider sound, then lets just say UFO doors open automatically for you because it has a sensor that detects movement. It shouldn't cost any TUs.

Kicking closed doors open should be standard procedure.

So here's a suggestion: Change the sound of a door opening normally to a sound of BAM! A door getting kicked open! Now that's being assertive! How about it?

Thanks. I know it's not possible in original X-COM but I wish we can have 3 different kinds of Terror site maps for each individual city in the world, that would be great! Each city with a unique cultural background. I got back into X-COM with the Extender and now I'm even more excited to play because of the dawn city maps! They're very hard, so don't ask me how I did ^_^;;

Can anyone recommend anymore cool maps for other terrains, specifically for the Farm map since those are very common, I'd like a change ;)

Wow, your mods are looking great! Your "Terror Site replacement ( Openxcom version of xcom1)" looks finished so I'll try that one. This is exciting, thanks Luke!

Can I use these with X-COM CE? I'm using the UFOExtender too. I haven't used the OpenXcom files yet ^_^ and I have questions about that too, but i'll ask later. Also I need help on where to put your files to make them work for my current game save.

Thanks Luke, you made my day!

Hello I came here to show my support for OpenXcom. I have a feeling the upcoming XCOM UFO Defense remakes will not be so good for me. A lot of people on the Xenonauts forum agreed after playing Alpha Xenonauts, they just couldnt play XCOM anymore because its too outdated. Well Im the opposite, I felt XCOM is still the big winner after many many many years and even after I tried out Xenonauts at my friends house. So Im here for you boys!!

So yes, I still feel XCOM is the better game, sorry Xenonauts  ::)

I have a C.C but no PayPal, and I would donate what I have left in my card for this game to contribute to its progress if there is another way to donate.

Thank you friends!!
