Bug in manufacture.rul

  - name: STR_LIGHTNING

What the hell with alien containment ?
Why i must research it ? If i don't know how to build it in the beginning of game i can't build it at all. If i can't build it i can't capture live aliens and i can't research how to build it. WTF ?!

Try to delete old COMMON and STANDART folders in your game directory then extract files and folders from latest nightly archive.

and also you can try to delete options.cfg at your Documents\OpenXcom folder at drive C
or try just change in notepad this strings in options.cfg at your Documents\OpenXcom folder at drive C
  useOpenGL: true
  checkOpenGLErrors: false
  useOpenGLSmoothing: true

which video card and video driver you use at your PC ?

 Also try to update DirectX

And three questions
1) RETALIATOR in russian is the same word as AVENGER. So i called it ... somethink like INTERCEPTOR-M (M means modified, and ofter russian tanks,
air defense systems and other military systems use this letterhttps:// like  АК-74М, Су-30МКИ and etc.) . Another possible variant is "chastener", "executioner", "ultor".
2) WTF is the city STR_KAUJUITOQ: "Kaujuitoq" ? Where is it? Looks like Google don't know.
3) Alloy tanks is also a problem, because in russian language - alloy tank/cannon and names like this - too long and looks too stupid, so i called something like them TANK-M/CANNON and etc.

If you wish, you can cherry-pick this change (https://github.com/MeridianOXC/OpenXcom/commit/7838c1a5ab5e6480e7aa1eb01455fc4e5d1cf3e8) into your local copy of OpenXcom master and build your own version that contains everything what a nightly OpenXcom build contains and this particular change on top.

Sorry, but i'm not programmer and don't know how to compile something. Better i'll drink some beer and maybe try OpenXcom Extended :)

Yeah, if you're called John Smith, that would work... if you're called Charalampos Tsourakakis, the name would either be cropped or obstruct the flag.
If you call a soldier Hubert Blaine Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff or something like that it will also cropped, but it looks not normal to give soldiers so long names.

And considering the actual life time named by the manufacturers, I doubt, this will ever be an issue. I really don't hold back on using my ssd. And after a little bit more than a year, I could extrapolate the life time of my ssd to 40 years. Then I'd probably reach the limit of writing cycles. That's fine with me. =) It's far more likely, that one will replace an SSD due to lack of capacity, than to actual errors from worn out cells (as in old age). If the SSD, for some reason, fails earlier, it's more like to be a »normal« manufacture flaw. And aside from that: You will never know in advance, when a harddrive or ssd will fail. It simply happens. So make backups. =) And don't care about writing cycles.
For me it's like an old habit from DOS games, when every savegame where in the game folder.
And UFO Defense runned on 386SX-20, 4 mb RAM, 85 mb HDD with ISA SCSI controller and monocrome-green VGA monitor :) Night missions was fearsome because you cannot see aliens in the dark of night and in the dark of monitor ^_^

If we get basic stuff like jumping over 50 cm fences first, then maybe. :P
I think jumping is not necessary,  just check for available TU ~25-50%  and "teleport" from one side of small fence to another side if there is free space.
In climbing up also check for available TU ~75-100%, another soldier nearby, free space on the next floor and "teleport"
