I had a mission "they came from the sea" and some guys were armed with baseball bats. They were not my prime targets since there was more deadlier targets so many tourists and bikini girls ended unconscious.
I wondered if they counted as dead at the end of the mission or as saved ?

I had only one mission with only one rat that I managed to bring back alive. Done the research and now waiting for a mission with rats but none so far in 2 years.
As far as I have tested Land survey was unable to bring back living rats just rat corpses. So I wonder if it's possible that land survey could bring back   some living units that has an utility as xcom units

is there an item you can produce and sell for a net profit ?
For the moment my 10 engineers cost 250 k
durathread gives 121k
motion detector more money but still under 250 k

so I wonder if there is an item that has a positive sell value ?

OXCE Support / [Answered] azerty keyboard issue

I'm French and I'm using an "azerty" keyboard instead of the "qwerty" US version

For displaying the tech tree in XCF mod I have to use the "a" touch instead of the "q" one.
I don't know if it can be fixed but since there's several keyboards dispositions it should be taken into account

it may be a post in XCF but I think that the problem is global.

at the start of the game you only got cars and later vans. You are supposed to take a plane and rent a car or a van at the airport but in fact you travel at car or van speed all time long. base-airport and airport-base should be at vehicle speed but airport to airport should be at airplane speed.
airport should be located in the towns in the map.
Public air travel should add some hours at the start (a regular line start) and one at the end (luggage)
Private air travel will negate these delays.

Actually it's possible to patrol at a way point at sea with a car or a van

Sometimes when I equip my team just before the mission starts I don't know if it's day or night. Knowing it could be nice (particularly true for the XFiles mod but can be useful for any game)

it could be handy to have the name of the ship in the battle screen (this way you will know where you will need to buy ammo and how much)

When an ufo is detected I find strange that the base spotting the ufo isn't in the pop up. Unless you can spot the red point on the map on the edges you need to center on ufo fist then intercept it. If the pop up message was UFO 54 was spotted by Base 1, you will know that base 1 interceptor should be your first choice.

Hyperwave decoder: a suggestion:when an UFO is spotted race should be indicated only if you have researched a living specimen of the race, mission is indicated if you have researched mission type and ufo type is indicated only if you have researched ufo type. This way these rather useless research topics should gain importance.

it's only my second game, and I have early restarted the first one so I'm very very newbie on this mod.
All I have read about this mod is that you can take some time to grow and the first game was ok (even if I restarted on mission 3 after beginner mistakes) but on my second game after a classic crop circle mission, the second event was a small ufo landing, taking down rowellitos with magnum bullets was possible but 6 vs 2 newbie agents on a night mission .... wtf !!!! (luckily I had plenty of ammo in the car)
I thought it was just bad luck and that the next mission will be easier but no another ufo lands and my mudranger team I have bought just in case this thing happens again is still waiting gear delivery. Yes agent 5 you will go on mission with a knife, please make you bravery check !!!!  Oh and other bad news mt first research medicine is not even ready yet so don't get hurt. Also spare your ammo because delivery is on the way...

Do I need to restart a game ?

Oh and just in case you wonder I'm one level below veteran... and it's January 7th
