Actually the game seems  somewhat to urge building a workshop; from jan 2602 enemies will get better  stuff and from such date even first hostile hideouts begin to appear, without workshop you cannot do much because cannot get better equipment/weapons/vessels to destroy these and  since enemy hideouts drain a lot of score so basically player is set to lose the game  :'(

Ok, by the end of first year you absolutely should have Workshop finished. It's late even in my book. However drop rate of stapler is not an issue. If you are new to this mod than obviously you would not know how to set up yourself to get needed items fast. There is also a possibility of extremally bad luck. Needed missions do not spawn and even if they do the item just did not drop. Most of the time in my plays I get the stapler before May. But unlucky runs where I get in as late as August also happened.

thanks, but i can assure the stapler is not spawned, only the clip, but actually that does not make sense; it should appear in the loot taken from enemy corpses. I always had loads of trouble recovering it since its introduction as workshop perquisite (similar to wrench, but Dioxine made it more commin). It's weird that a guild item doesn't spawn in the stash of stuff in their warehouse, so it should be mire common as wrench is now, hope Dioxine agrees...plus researchin furiously data disk is a chore that makes game frustrating, and the fun is gone  :'(

It's true that sometimes Stapler can be elusive, but game does not really press you to get Workshop fast. Also, even tho drop rate can seem low you can get it through many ways. Warehouse War mission is just one of them. I had staplers drop even from bring down the tower mission. A landed 9m guild UFO can have it and those can just land at your door in March or April. Clearing basement of your main base for attack helicopter plans give you a couple of staplers. Also, stapler has only one use after it's researched, so it's understandable if it's rare.

I assumed something is wrong because in N7 it lists "The dark ones" under "item destroyed". So I just compared pages from two different mod versions to see if something was off.  Yup. I did not do any in game tests.

Is it normal that I can't research the dark ones and the killer droids? I've looked up and it seems there are no requirements for them. Asking because I updated mid campaign.

The needed item is listed as nothing. Seems like a bug.
Edit: You can still get it from interrogations. Drifters are easy to get so this is a very small issue.

I wanted to use BAI for cover system as well. But I was afraid it would overwrite "sniper", "spotter" attributes from specific enemies in XPiratez. Could you share how did you configure BAI?

Hello everyone

this is the first time I've seen this. when you link the equipment for the troops to the ship that has to transport them, on the far right, before, I had the quantity allocated directly. now I have a sort of separation, like X/+Y.

The problem is that this obviously varies according to changes in the crew, and I've already found myself on a mission with the usual equipment that had stayed at the base.

does anyone know how i can “correct” this ?

This happens because you have "Alternate craft equipment management" option on. It's one of my favorite features but it requires getting used to it. Especially when you do not have enough spare equipment. If you have troubles just turn it off in advanced options.

The 100 knot ground contacts do not leave any ground mission. They are scouting for your base and the only thing you are supposed to do with them is blow into pieces.
The 90 knot ground contact is a necropirate party that will eventually "land" and generate a ground mission. Do not destroy. Chase and wait for landing.
After that all contact leave a wreck and ground mission to seize it.
There are some air contacts that again, just look for your base and can also intercept your crafts. But do not leave any ground mission and always blow up.

Works as intended. The "free" dogs are removed. All live in barracks and can be trained now.
I hope it'll eventually be done to werewolf's and other units as well.

When the bouton is toggled presented stats of your units will include bonuses from condemnations and other stat modifiers.

Thanks for the information. I'll give it a spin. I guess the same behavior applies to UAC Rifle, Niner's epulse ammo?

I'm not sure about those. Both of those guns have no shotgun choke value listed. It might not apply or it's value is 100% and that is why it's not listed. I'm leaning towards "it works exactly like a shotgun with 100% choke" option.

You just have to get the feel of spread right. The percentage to hit you see is for the first pellet. With every another pellet chance to hit goes a bit down. What you want is about 150% chance to hit on target. Also depends on how good the "choke" is on a shotgun. I generally use long range shotguns. Things like a coach gun, heavy shotgun and police shotgun. I never have problems eliminating high health targets like zombies in 2 hits. Just do not use them like you would any other gun, where you can get away with lower hit chance. On shotguns you need that 150% hit chance.

Awesome, thanks for the advice! Yeah I always sell the security corridors and buy a 4th brainer day 1. I  tend to overlook the Little Bird because I read that it wasn't useful a while back, but that being outdated makes sense.

That might have been me. Just before this patch dropped I was complaining I can't find a use for Little bird that would be worth the hassle, and than Dioxine hit me with Uno reverse card.

Temples:
Normal one.
Issue  - 1-3 units with a shotgun. Shotgun will murder a gal without armor due to doing multiple pellets of damage. To do it safe you need to have at least units with Barbarian + Shield armor, but ideally you need to rush warrior armor to feel safe. I usually surround every exit, then play "whack a mole" - open door, stun closest (I like domestic shotgun + rubber bullets), end turn, and then finish with a cleanup.

Other than that, you should look at these missions as money generators, there is loot for ~1+ million.  So, scoring low infamy or even losing a gal or two is still totally worth it. Still, if you don't have  decent gals that may enter a building without risking reaction fire, it's totally fine to skip these missions.

I have an opposite opinion on this. Do what you can to do Temple missions. Even if you have to send 5 peasants and 1 Gal. Gal scouts and stays mostly out of danger, peasants take the front. It's OK if they die after all. If you feel overwhelmed you can kill people. I know that is heresy, because most enemies here are money piñatas, but you got to do it.
Be careful of double doors. Do not stand outside of them until you are sure there are no enemies near them. A guy with shotgun on enemy turn will kill one of your units camping those doors 90% of the time. A single doors you can camp safely.

I play on Blackbeard and can give you some tips that work for me very well.
1. Rush little bird. It wasn't important pre N7, but now in my opinion getting to Little bird as fast as possible is more important than anything else. If you sell security corridors day one and buy 4th brainer you can get both bounty hunting before February and Little bird.
2. Use Little bird to take down mainly bandit cars and most important, couriers. Courier crush sites drop 14mm ammo. Arrive to any mission you possibly can on Little bird for massive infamy boost from glamour. Do it for as long as you have 14mm ammo.
3. Any missions against humans you should be doing at night. Gals have superior night vision to normal humans and on pair with guild security. Getting lock'nars will help you greatly to ambush enemies.
Peasants wearing mud have good night camouflage and with shotguns can easily fill empty spots in craft.
4. Your 14mm ammo will most likely run out in March or April. So, in meanwhile you can work your way toward Improvised aerial explosives. Those can take down both bandit cars and trucks. But to use then you either need Angry bird or electric car from Car thieves. At this point it's possible you'll have a landed 9m ufo in your radar range and get 25mm cannon from it. If so, you can drop everything and go straight for car thieves to use it. Hunt police cars and wasp fighters for more ammo.
5. It's super important to plan well your initial base. Have a plan on what you will have in it and how are you going to restructure it later.
6. You have to strongly consider if you are going to be doing undersea missions. A lucky find of alien submarine can get you sonic oscylator parts. If you get 2 parts you are golden. Do not fear hallucynoids. Gals with high bravery can take them on on Blackbeard. Use anchors and barbarian swords to quickly kill them. Poisonous tentacles will destroy nearly all enemies you'll face.
7. When doing bounty missions save Jack tokens until you have 500 and get confederate gear. You'll now be able to buy electric lassos. Another amazing weapon that can deal with anything bellow Power armor.
8. Keep buying brainers when you can afford them.

That would be top of my head right now.
Below is my current score history. So, I do not really know what could cause a massive downward score spice on Blackbeard.

There are a couple of things causing base raids.
Reaching a Rogue rank. Now raids of simple bandits, rats and more can attack one of your bases each month.
Reaching a Boss rank will cause government raids.
Base detected by enemy. Those rowing bands of 100 speed ground contacts search for your base. If one of those comes close enough, you can expect attack next month.
Shooting down crafts from factions can cause a retaliation mission.

I've never had airbus to emit light. Maybe you have something in weapon pile that emits light?
