Help / Some armor recovery question/s

Hey, I’m using mana as vitality and would like to recover time units like:

currentManaPercent: 0.8 #actual PERCENT of vitality now times 0.8
…but dunno how to do it. Maybe I need a script for it or use of that manaNormalized tag (which I don’t know how it works, so that’s an another question :P).

Hello!

My final update for the X-Peasantz: LEAKED_NUDES is now ready and out, but maybe there’s still something to fix (uh), so it might be too early to say. If someone wants to take over the submod at this point and/or modify Peasants in any way, be my guest, there will come no overlapping issues or anything from my direction for awhile.👍

OK, there is not much room to play around, so I just lifted stockings up/in her miniskirt (there's a updated pic in my old blog post). Using this body as model, I'll modify unit's other sprites and add them to Stuffiez submod. When I update blog’s turn-around spritesheet animation you will then know that all is done. :)

additional edit:
I think that in generally most of the graphics that I have seen while playing are already decent stuff for a mod like XPZ. I wouldn’t change them a bit. I have mostly polished sprites which are, imo, unnecessarily messy for an eye (and seemed to be fun to work with). Some of them also felt like placeholders, reused or unfinished, so I wanted to help as well.

While at it, of course I have also added my own details, remodeled and even redesigned some stuff, why not? :P

So, took about 10 mins to do. Does she now look like an may-be exquisite lingerie unit? I think her stuff combined with some crappy leather corset (or whatever) would give a nice morale boost to any gal.

Sprite sheet, floor and bigob corpses would be quite easy to modify as well.

Yes, players, those sneaky bastards. They think everything is made just for them and their precious immersion. Sometimes it feels like there is guys who leave no rock turned when they get really into it. I bet there is atm one who digs in maptiles looking for some hidden messages - AND might actually find some! We are all having fun here, but at the end of the day this is serious business.

Okay, here it comes! It’s not official, but I think I found one good candidate for an all-around piratez-SAFE palette, the one ‘which rules them all’, by doing some research with my peasants’ submod files. All files there use the attached palette file, but NOT all XPZ/resources/ image files use it, there is actually a lot of stuff that uses vanilla palette.

I remapped my Guard Dog with it and now I can also live with it, oh yes.

But it’s not what it was made to be. :P and I have to rework it.. :-\

Yankes was right all along and I just couldn’t believe it, because I haven’t encountered such drastic changes before. Thought I could use the vanilla palette safely, but it’s not for piratez and this proves it.

To continue I need to find an all around piratez-safe palette. It must be one of the 22 resource .pal files. If someone knows a trustful one, please post it here.

Thanks guys, this is quite a solved case. And sorry, nothing was wrong (and at the same time everything was), I walked on the thin ice and it broke.

What are the odds, this was supposed to be my first piratez sprite item ever. It should've been a great day, but now it’s just some unbelievable silly joke-moment of my life.

But maybe there are some higher forces doing their things, and they try to tell me something..

Ok, things took a better direction. I tried to extraSprite some other files and they all went in like they should. Wow!

So, the problem is now this one file and I really don’t know what the fuck is wrong with it (sorry again). BUT this is good thing, now I just have to draw another Guard Dog and wish it to work. Oh, man.

If someone has some extraTime, use this attachment as a piratez sprite and post a screenshot for me.

I meant extraScripts, but I think you have done it, like submodded your own piratez mod at least once with custom-made sprite items, so I’m quite sure that the problem is all mine. I’m just unable to find it, maybe I never will. It's so damn weird.

Yes yes, yes, :) the above I indexed from one RGB image to get colors from two separate palettes, just for a preview purpose. You used the SAFE one in yours and I usually use the one with the last color intact which works for tiles/MCDs as well (the REAL battlescape palette). Piratez supports it also for bigobs and paperdollys. Tho it's darkened version in mod/game.

Have you, Solarius, managed to add custom images to piratez ‘database’ via scripts? That would be good to know. Thanks!

Yeah, that was what I first thought as well! But I have drawn my previous paperdoll sprites and such with the same vanilla palette. Actually I have also worked with one, more contrasted or/and saturated, palette that XPZ might use. You can see the minor difference it makes from the new attachment. This is something different, but thanks for the reply anyway.👍

Is this a file or import issue? File should be fine, I think.

(It’s not a script issue (why in hell did I even add it?) - I’ll remove the code from the first post)

Hey, I tried to add my first extra sprite and ended up with verry weird color swappings, which seems like was done by horrible remapping of some image editing programs.

Attachment shows the result from the original-should-be. Other sprites on the screen work nice and smooth. I have managed to add own sprites to own mods, so I don't know what is this mess with my submod.

(..about that going commando thingy; Hostess has a miniskirt, so players wouldn’t know anyway..:)))

edit I had an idea about this 'exquisite lingerie' item-unit question. What if her pic shows that she wears some luxury bras? Those would be more than easy to add on.

Thanks for corrections! I replaced the project's files with them.

Currently I have a pause from playing, so no new submodifications to release (yes, I’m a selfish submodder just hustling with stuff I play).

Anyhow, it seems that my pixel artzy learning objective was quite accomplished during last winter and now has come to a point where it feels like performing (robot stuff), so I have slowly moved main focus to learning 3D. My new skills so far are skin modifiering, cycles rendering and some sculpting :P I’m also experimenting OXCE rulesets and map tiles/MCDs making:
