I have changed my skin form the dark one as it was to hard for my eyes to handle , im not a young as i use to be ???

I do however have 1 question, on the old forum i could return to the website and read any news by clicking on OPENXCOM at the top of the page, in the new forum i cant see any link back? Is it just me or is it no longer here :o

Sorry i have only ever played the original version of x-com , no modes or enhancements so i am not sure if my follow up question will be stupid or not .

Is melee going to be a default option even if its only " Click on empty hand slot and select PUNCH "?

Does personal armour or power armour reduce you movement speed at all when equipped?

Does it weigh you down, cost additional energy or anything?

Re-skinned solders . YES - still even cheating like this , that is hours and hours of work ::)

Thats is the long term Dream , would be nice to also allow the aliens as a tactic to be able to mind probe a civilian , grab a gun off a corpse and attack the xcom agent so the you need to decide to either, kill this poor soul and take the point losts or wait for a  stunner  :o NOW thats a terror tactic . This could be a nice surprise late in the game if only the etherals use this tactic.

 I will be doing the girl sprite next then i want to do the army looking guy from terror from the deep . Imagine a new mission type where you need to defend a human army base from a massive alien attack with the army guys trying to help you  ;D

Im not much of a programmer so i though i would do the graphics first in a long shot that i could get someone with the proper skills interested enough to do the code side for the community, Otherwise wait 5 years for me to figure  the code out later :P Currently i am hoping " IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME" ;)

There actually the original civilian sprites chopped into pieces and pasted onto separate xcom troop sprite , i only touched up where the hands where on the previous sprites nothing more . i assume the brightness has something to do with them replacing the x-com troops on a night mission ( i was just checking everything look ok whilst walking so i thought i would take a screen shot).

I guess any feedback is good feedback :P

OK Male Civilians have been converted to carry weapons only thing i want to do is change the sprites for when they are empty handed, just so they look more like the original.

Hello,
 Just wondering is there a set out plan for the official MODS to openXcom or are you simply playing it by ear?

I know in a interview on strategy core SupSuper mentioned a few changes i was just wondering if any more have been officially approved? ( approved by you  the programmers not  approved by unimportant people like me :P)

i have made next step into cloning X-Com soldier (did you remember blue skinned ones? :>). now they have chameleon genes!

Yanks , is your " chameleon Genes" fully working? Do you know if it will be merged with the source code as im having some strange thoughts for its use and have been toying around with a new alien type between redrawing civilians . ;D



NOTE: On the alien there still my Civilian arms :P

they stole my idea , civilians defending them selves  ;D  If the aliens start taking over unarmed civilians and making them pick up alien weapons to attack the Human forces i know there been reading this site :P

i said game BALANCE later , so if there to powerful( compared to the rest of the weapons) we can just live with it until everything else is done ( full version of the game) then re-balance the weapon stats .

Sounds good to me , bring on the Mods.

We should start building a few things like this now and just work on the game balance later. My though for a ranged stun weapon was a modified pistol to act like a taser but there is something so sexy about a grenade launcher  ;)
