Got a error in Mapview when i try to add new maps from AREA51's Urban Maps . It works if i rename the file to a original Maps name but when there numbered as per Area51 site i get this error in Map_View. Does this mean anything to anyone ?

OK , i have correct the Nodes in Urban maps and a few other wrong tiles, i will either upload these tomorrow or next weekend. I have also Downloaded some Rotated ORIGINAL maps that where from the AREA51 Site  https://area51.xcomufo.com/ I will do the same thing with these over the next week or so before Add any Basements to them for my own use.  I Really want a large number of Urban map blocks because you do the same mission every month ( this is also why all my sprite Mods refer to Terror Missions.

Please Note : Any future mention of these maps will be added into my " After Version 1.0 "  Topic to keep all my Ramblings together  :P

No, last alien should turn into rambo and come looking for you. Let it cheat like the old game did ( after turn 20) , and let it know where all your men are and have it come HUNT you down. That would save you time as it will be looking for you.

police officers are on my to do list already , i just got to finish these 3 sprites first, then mod at least 2 different soldiers before i start them. I also want to do all CIVS from TFTD at some point :)

Since  i cant code, i am simply supplying some sprites in hope someone else also likes the idea.If i was doing the code , not every Civ would be armed , just a couple here and there for variety sake. Also i think it would be cool if the aliens would mind probe some civs and grab a gun off a corpse and come attack the xcom agents.

Thanks Yanks. I really got to stop being lazy and install openx either in my Linux or in a my separate windows partition as currently i am using it in a Virtual XP and i cant get full screen for some reason. I will look into these tonight :)

Pain is why i play this game , i like x-com when i winning , but i love x-com when im getting creamed!

I was actually thinking 2 part alien attack missions but hey terror mission would work also  :P

Joining them would be interesting long term but for the next year or 2 i think having them 2 separate games would be enough. Sure i would like to have a few aliens do cameos in ufo defence just for variety sakes , plus there a few features from TFTD that i want in UFO like multiply stage missions and maybe some sort of close combat option for when you have nothing else to fall back on ::)

I think any weapon less aliens should walk up to you soldiers , King Hit them to knock your guys out and steal the x-com "human" weapon to execute your soldier on the ground. Just a thought ::)

 What is the best FREE ( or cheap yearly payment) to store files long term on the Internet ? I really don't want to find my x-com mods have vanished one day as i was to cheap but im currently using mediafire and there monthly payment is to much.

"Yep, same issue. It's in the rulesets defined which tilesets to load... I could provide you with an openxcom version with externalized rulesets, but that would not be fair, me taking away SupSuper's work :p"

 Honestly Im not really interested in the craters , i am however interested in multi levels and new maps ( however collapsing buildings when you take out to many walls would be sweet). I only supplied a example map with dirt in case someone really wanted to start the craters as i was going to  move the maps up a few levels anyway for my own plans. I am planning a new map type to be the top level of a alien base ( making them 2 part missions) disguised as a human town but swarming with Gang Members ( when i get there graphics looking correct)

Just a warning to anyone using my download , i forgot to move the spawn points on those maps so you will need to either do it yourself OR wait until my next upload, sorry about that ::)

OK i have moved all the terrain up to level 4 (allowing 3 levels of dirt under street level) for the URBAN mapblocks. Downside is i had to import DIRT from another block set ( alien base ) which  means i cant test it until a update is done so it knows what block is needs  ( last time i tried i added a fridge but got a door in game).

I will make a Upload of this later so someone can do the desired code so Dalky SupSUpers can continue his current work ( Sorry i cant do it as im to stupid to program anything ::) ).
