Hey, i have a several unit sprites from 2012 that i need to update to PNG with working pallets, can someone make  or link me to a tutorial on how to do this with Irfranview  or  Asprite, would love a OXC specific tutorial if its possible not a generic online one :P.

Trying to move away from GIMP due to pallet issues BUT dont have the spare cash for Photoshop :)

Help / Instant Battle Options

Is there a Ruleset somewhere to configure the Instant Battle screen? I deleted the Soldiers from my OXC game via a mod i am playing with  and now i cant use instant battles at all as i can only see TANKS, i just want to add my new units to instant battle.

So didnt get any work on my Pyramids over  the weekend for 2 reason, had family issue and i started building a different MCD set for another type of ufo, still very early days , you will note i stole borrowed the assets from TFTD.

Wanted something different so all these ships will be on legs and the only way in/out will be with Grav lifts.

Inspiration for these is an advance alien race (  aka Asgard),space pirate or even time travelling humans, as usual i doubt they will ever become a megamode of my own making but for now i will just build them :)

So i have been away for some time so i thought i would ask, as anyone ever created an alien sprite for the Box Art Bug?  I want another flying alien and i am hoping someone has done a box art alien over the years  i have been away....

Help / Underground Trial - Map questions

In the ruleset, is it possible to specify map block must be placed on the outside edge of the battle scape when generating?

For example, i always want map blocks 1-3 to generate on the north edge and maos 4-6 to generate on south, is this an option within the current vanilla oxc?

Tools / Building your own PCK,MCD,TAB sets

So what program is everyone using to create there own PCK,MCD,TAB files?

I use to use MCDADD by BombBloke to Copy data from an existing tileset to my new one, then just adjust the graphics and Lofts if required however this doesn't seem to be working correctly on my new windows ( its kind of hit and miss, it works sometimes but then other times does nothing). I assume someone has a new tool that they use since i see so many new maps in use these days.

Been wanting the below for years ( so i can expand my version of xcom with some new maps and add variety in late game)

If countries stop funding Xcom and side with ALiens:

Geoscape change:
Country aircraft become visible &  attack-able on Geoscape
Pyramid Ufos are mobile command centres, function as both UFOs and Base facilities
Secret Alien/Human base is added to map
Secret Alien/Human Science labs/warehouse added to map
SHoot down enemy aircraft can be attacked in battlescape map
Interrogate alien/humans to find secret bases
destroy all shared bases, government is overthrown, rejoins Xcom

I know i am dreaming but thought i would bring it up again.

Open Feedback / Been away for some time, looking for some guidance

Greetings anyone that remembers me, need a Xcom fix and need some advice on the best Modpack these days, looking for a an expanded xcom experience but with nothing too crazy, needs to be hard like the original but with extra everything, so what Mod pack should  i download for that.

Suggestions / New Medi-Kits

Hello,
 Now i am working on medical equipment and cloning i wish to build a item that can directly affect stats of a unit and have a Time frame attached to it. This would be interesting for both Xcom and Aliens to play with.
Looking at the rulesets "https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Ruleset_Reference_(OpenXcom)" it appears i can only influence a few things, and only up to max... I want to go over this and in some cases have it wear off in X amount of turns. Another intereting feature would be to add a Medical SKILL and allow chance of overdoes or other negative affects based of units skill set.

 This will give Warboys Medical room some benefit and allow me to move some Medics into the Tactical game as a different unit type.

Any chance we can have this feature?

Just played APoc for first time in many years and noticed when i pressed end turn ( a few turns in) i was asked if i wanted to continue moving a unit i had overlooked during the turn to my previously selected location. This would be a nice way to streamline the "run to the UFO" once i have secured the rest of the map...What do you think?

So like most people,  i play OXC in a higher res but one thing that is bugging me the background image behind geoscape...Is there a way to replace that with my own image?
