EXALT Liquidators, as we have seen in the field, are elite EXALT operatives, their "special forces" so to speak. They are usually used to spread terror, as we have seen in Venezuela, but we are not sure if they are loyal to EXALT or their supply of Psiclone. Either way, it's definitely bad news for our agents in the field if we get to see any of them again. We should be equipped to deal with them at all times.

Subject: Battle of Hilo After Action Report

X-COM agents were able to respond to a series of reports in Hawaii about a Werecat attack on Hilo, in the island of Hawai'i. However, by the time our agents engaged the Werecats, many civilians were already killed and police barely managed to contain the Werecat rampage. While X-COM in its AO was unable to rescue any civilians, it was able to defeat the monsters and save the city overall. This will likely be a situation that X-COM will be hard-pressed to salvage, as media outlets have been reporting the events before we arrived on site.

Terror rages across the city of Hilo in Hawai'i County earlier today as humanoid cat-like "monsters" began a destructive rampage across the city earlier this morning. After hours of bitter house to house fighting between local police, unknown agents and the creatures, the city was barely able to avoid destruction, with at least hundreds of people having been killed in the rampage. Dagon's Staff is...quite a mystery to say the very least. It would appear that this staff is able to somehow store psionic energy and use it to affect water particles to turn it into a deadly, sizzling chemical missile of some kind. The runes in this staff also speak of some kind of sorecery and perfection according to the best attempts at translation. It was also reported to vibrate under direct contact, but we have not been able to confirm that in our research.

Subject: Black Lotus Psi Generator Investigation Report

This so-called "Psi Generator" that we've managed to recover from the Avatar statue in the Black Lotus HQ in Japan appears to have been designed with a very specific purpose in mind. What could said purpose be? Well, it would appear that the device is capable of receiving and amplifying psionic signals coming from somewhere in outer space, supposedly allowing for the cult's "goddess" to "possess" humans. As a result, we may have some ideas as to cripple the remnants of the Black Lotus organisation. While we may not know its true working principles for some time, we can be able to theoretically locate some psionic wavefronts coming from the generator, hence why we believe we can use this to finally end Black Lotus as an effective threat once and for all.

Based on what we know about the aliens' biology so far, we've managed to develop a new sort of "Dart Rifle", that can deploy non-lethal chemical agents against alien enemies (as well as human ones). It can also be practical for underwater use - something that could help us defend ourselves while we figure out what the Dagonists were all rambling about. It could also help us develop better dart-based weapons for future use.

X-COM forces managed to respond to reports from the Russian government about a Red Dawn remnant base operating out of the Arctic, and managed to capture at least eight of the base's occupants. However, we lost both of the AI drones known as Enzo and Typhoon in the process and all agents in the field were injured. However, given that none of them were killed and the majority of their injuries were minor, it is safe to say that X-COM's new jumpsuit has proven to be quite a success. However, it's safe to say we should begin searching for suitable replacements to both of our lost AI units as soon as possible.

Government officials have just announced that a Red Dawn remnant base was reportedly assaulted and secured by Spetsnaz forces after having gotten word from a patrol in the area. 21 suspects were killed, and eight have been brought in for questioning. Two confirmed losses of experimental drones have also been noted of during this operation, though reports of injuries from the entire team have been dismissed as Red Dawn propaganda. Based on secret files we were able to recover in Operation: Burning Lotus, we've managed to learn the following about the contact that Black Lotus' remnants were supposed to meet before our agents arrived. As such we have begun to create a Dossier around Martin Jakubko. Here is what is known about him so far:

There is very little known about Mr. Jakubko's earlier whereabouts, but what is known is that he is universally considered a charismatic diplomat, with him showing some level of charity, even among the ranks of Red Dawn...well, what's left of them now. As a result, his former superiors have made him a diplomatic face of Red Dawn - albeit with Operation Red Dusk, it would appear that he among the few who were not present at the base when the operation occurred. We've already notified Interpol as to his current whereabouts, so he should hopefully be apprehended by now.

Subject: Anthropod Autopsy Report

Despite the humanoid shape of the so-called "Anthropod", this creature is truly alien in nature. The skeleton is mostly cartilaginous with only a few robust bones composing the framework. The organs also have a very diffuse quality, all of the apparatus is spread throughout the mass of entrails. The brain size is slightly larger than a human's, but it is composed of several ganglions, which result in a lower interconnection density. The respiratory system is also very rudimentary and inefficient with noticeable signs of inflammation in it.

Regardless, this thing, as we have seen in the field, is quite dangerous and should be approached with extreme caution.

X-COM forces managed to respond to an anonymous tip over a Black Lotus remnant emergency meeting in the aftermath of the destruction of Black Lotus HQ, and this resulted in the destruction of the drone units known as Arthras and Obrek, alongside the deaths of Agents Iancu and Gagnon. However, six suspects were captured during the whole of the operation and as such, we suspect that the enemy will be even more on the run from this point forward.

Subject: Operation: Red Dusk After Action Report

X-COM Agents managed to locate Red Dawn HQ and destroy it after a prolonged brutal battle and the surrender of 11 suspects, two of which have been identified as General Georgy Shpak and Fleet Admiral Vladimir Kuroyedov of the Russian Navy. This means that at this point, the Russian military has been infiltrated to such an extent that an entire branch of it was under Red Dawn influence in some form or another. However, we've also identified one of the bodies as being that of former Russian Defence Minister Pavel Grachev; the same one that costed Russia the Chechen War. To believe that his sacking prior to the events of the past year eventually led him to join or possibly even create Red Dawn is shocking. The other two are being questioned as to the other high-ranking Russian military officers who provided Red Dawn with the assets they had up to this point.

As for the dead, we lost Agents Alemu and Voulgaris during the operation, alongside the drones known as Poseidon and Pandora. As of now, we are beginning to replace the four losses we've sustained, and we will deal with the captured suspects accordingly.

Red Dawn HQ Destroyed; Former Defence Minister Grachev Killed

Earlier today, a Vympel force had managed to strike at Red Dawn's Headquarters, which was found in an undisclosed location in the Arctic Circle. Two experimental drones and two Spetsnaz operatives were killed in the ensuing battle, though eleven suspects have been captured, including Gen. Georgy Shpak and Fleet Admiral Kuroyedov, who were found to be collaborating with the terrorist organisation. During the operation, it has been reported that former Defence Minister Grachev, whom is currently believed to have founded Red Dawn in the days following his removal by President Yeltsin for his role in the disasters in the Armed conflict in the Chechen Republic and on bordering territories of the Russian Federation, was killed during the operation. As of now, an investigation by the government into the prospect of a larger conspiracy within the nation's military is underway to track down suspected members of Red Dawn within the officer corps at this time. We are Not Alone, Controversial Scientific Paper Claims

A research paper titled "On the Activities Undertaken by Hostile Extraterrestrial Lifeforms" was published in the Nature magazine by Dr. Bao Tianzhen earlier today, claiming that reports and claims of alien lifeforms on Earth have skyrocketed since last year, with the event now known as the "Budapest Incident" having been pointed out as an example, alongside the Boussé Incident and the unreported Dabantong Incident, with Chinese state run media denying the event's occurrence, despite an increasing number of claims by Chinese migrants of the incident. This, coupled with other reports and studies of the creatures involved in several other, since confirmed incidents of monsters, has been noted in the paper to be of "extraterrestrial origin". The paper itself concluded that "the aliens' activities on Earth over the past year have been consistent with extremely hostile intentions" as he noted that "the eyewitness accounts, autopsy reports from colleagues in the scientific community and evidence of weapons fire at each reported site indicates some kind of hostile actions undertaken by the aliens".

The scientific community, although still baffled by the autopsy results of various types of monsters, is currently divided as to the validity of the paper, with many expressing skepticism as to whether alien involvement could explain the autopsy result anomalies and rapid rise in conspiracy theories about aliens in popular media. However, others have expressed that the prospect of some type of "alien genetic engineering program" could be "a real possibility". X-COM has finally developed a new sort of "jumpsuit" composed of Duranthread to allow for a lighter, but also stronger material for our agents to use than anything previously considered. However, the fact that we still have no idea how to manufacture more Duranthread means that we are going to need to have limited use of these things until we can locate the Duranthread Factory. We are still having our intelligence teams try and find it, but we are making...some progress.

Regardless, this is a new era in the field of materials science, and we should take full advantage of it to protect humanity; ten months before the aliens arrive is also certainly disconcerting.

After a few months of R&D, we can safely say that the B01 Bio-Exo Suit is finally ready for production here at X-COM. It is a suit designed to counter threats from dangerous creatures and environemnts in order to replace the now outdated HazMat suits. It is fitted with a sophisticated set of night vision equipment, and an intergated exoskeleton. This should increase our soldiers' effectiveness on the battlefield when compared to HazMat suits. It could also be used for other applications, and given what we've seen so far, it seems reasonable to believe that.

Zombie Outbreak near Tiksi Contained by Spetsnaz Alfa Operatives

Spetsnaz Alfa units were able to contain a zombie outbreak near Tiksi earlier today as President Boris Yeltsin begins to order a state of emergency for in the Siberian and Far Eastern Military Districts for the purposes of public safety and to facilitate the anti-zombie operations in the region. One soldier was reportedly killed during the engagement, though at this time, we cannot confirm the validity of that report. Russian citizens are advised to remain indoors and to avoid contact with the infected. They are also advised to contact local authorities in the event of an outbreak at this time.
