- How do I get Guildmaster's Secrets? I managed to research a Guildmaster but it apparently does not unlock Guildmaster's Secrets.
- How do I get Voodoo Initiation?

The first is bugged right now, I think the solution is in the Bugs reports thread.

There is a bug currently about the provost and guildmaster. Unfortunately, I do not know the fix, but this should be posted in the Bugs topic.

Nocturne in Red is significantly difficult, so I do not mind spoiling this for you. One should bring a bunch of SS in crusader armor, and if at all possible, dig into walls turn 1 and create artificial chokepoints. Your SS crusaders should protect the peasant nuns, or the peasant Linux EP submachine gunners.

If this sounds too zAngband for you, remember thst the missions are not fair, so you need not be fair.

useful information, thank you, I read that the red codex allows you to destroy bases and outposts without starting a battle, but on the globe, is something similar possible in other codexes?

I am 90% this is not true, and possibly a misunderstanding the use of Chinese Dragon.

I play JS almost exclusively.

While your definition of 'content' might vary, most of the JS wrenches are unquestionably bad.

1) Lower selling prices. You cannot build or recruit as fast, tolerance for errors in build orders is minor.

2) Bad events start earlier and are more of them. Is that 'content'?

3) Enemy progression is accelerated. That means that stuff others have to deal one year in, mandatorily start in six months on JS. There are multiple readiness checks that other difficulties give you a fair time to prepare are rammed through on an accelerated timetable on JS. Expect to deal with checks in month 2 instead of month 8+, month 7 instead of month 12+, month 12 instead of month 24, and month 18 instead of month 30.

3) Dogfights are more lethal, enemies fire faster. Is this extra 'content'?

4) on battlescape, enemies have significantly higher stats, able to fire more accurately, move faster and react more.

5) the only mixed blessing: there are more enemies. The good part: more loot. Bad part: more enemies.

Note that JS is *explicitly* designed to be anti-fair, and Dio often goes out of his way to make JS unfair, or eliminate cheesy tactics.

Well, I thought one was reffering to the 'political pressure' line that EVERY CONTINENT has, most of which have no impact beyond one time.

I very VEHEMENTLY disagree.

The investment is minor, way less than runts, it's tech and infrastructure independent (making grog requires extractor and still which is way past mid-year tech, closing to end of year 1), and that is only GROG, and if you want yo make canteens of wis or med supplies you need the farming infrastructure anyway.

And plus, losing 8 farms+a base to an ill timed crackdown hurts way less than losing all the manufacturing infrastructure+runts+rolling manufacturing stock.

Given this, at the very least, the idea is to expand to 8 bases using farms, then upgrading them to manufacture as research increases.
