Thanks mate, I managed to get it via portal time ago, but my drive got broken had to replace it and lost all my mods for the third time ;D so I'm gonna grab it again because I like to make my troops walking Christmas grenade trees :P

@Skullar: Glad you're excited to try the mod!  You are correct, in order to advance much beyond the basics of the research tree you will need to pick between Ultramarines Chapter Operations and Imperial Guard Operations, respectively opening up those branches of the research while locking out the other.  You cannot switch back on this choice later in your campaign.  However, more IG equipment is available from the start of the mod than for the marines, so you still have the option to play the guard in a limited sense if you pick marines, but you won't get much of the new toys that this mod provides.

Yeah I see, I'm giving the IG a shot and it's blowing my socks off! lots of resources, and I like the addition of starting armor (thank God), I'm specially in love with the chimera turrets, just the decent amount of firepower I always asked for at the beginning, it's great :)

Ok first off, just wanna say thanks to you guys for making this mod so awesome 8) just started playing with the IG mod and it's blowing me away! amazing to see lots of improvements in the mod!

Now back on point: I'm not really sure if this is a bug but I wanted to ask if it's there a way to list the AP CASE below the Heavy Bolter (where it should be instead of being below the craft bolter) in the Purchase/recruit list?

I think this little problem comes from the original game so in that case I guess is hard coded, correct me if I'm wrong, but I just wanna know if there is a way I can correct this, attached a picture down below, anyway thanks in advance. :cheers:

My dreams of playing with the IG in the 40k mod have come true  :'( thank you guys!! gonna check it out right away  ;D btw so I get to choose between IG or Ultramarines only right? after choosing IG on the tech tree I cannot choose to switch to Ultramarines later in-game?? sorry for this silly question but
I want to know what I'm getting into :P

Hi guys, since the mod portal has been down for awhile I would like to ask if somebody can send me the extended inventory mod or the other one mod that I can't remember it's name and neither it's author, but it's the one which has a 3 vertical squares holster. The Extended Inventory is the only one mod that I'm missing to have a decent gameplay, I would really appreciate the help guys, thanks in advace! Cheers :beer:

Minor correction, his name was RJ Macready in The Thing.  I almost always end up including him at some point.
 

So that's his actual first name in the film? omg I didn't know it!!  :o I just came up naming him Ian because on the credits he's only listed as McReady, now I know his true name, thanks!  ;D

Thank you I appreciate it! my laptop just died off this month and is still on repairs so I was left with no save games, no mods, etc. and then it happens that the site is unreachable, definitely this is by far the worse month of the year for me LOL

I make name combos from movies/tv shows/games character names, or I just simply make them up from whichever name comes into my mind. I love giving my soldiers names like "Mark Raynor" (Starcraft), "Barry Gomez", "Jesse Moretto", "Sarah Ripley" (Terminator/Alien combo), "Dom Callahan", "Ian McReady" (the McReady from "the thing"), "Joe Sheppard", "Daniel Jackson" (Stargate)... just to name some of the captains and commanders from my rooster ;)

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I'm getting "error 523: origin is unreachable" when trying to enter the mod portal, everything is fine on the openxcom.org site but I can't reach the mod portal, it's been like almost a week that I've been unable to enter openxcom.com :( ... is the site on maintenance? or is the error only on my end? thanks in advance guys!
