How do you update to new version? Do I have to install the mod at new location and copy/paste saves or just overwrite old mod folder?

Install the mod at new location and copy/paste saves.

Clean installs like this means you get to keep the old version as backup just in case.

I'll probably be making use of this. Thanks!

Whilst gold is my favourite, my vote for the strongest codex goes to grey.

I feel a bit bad to laugh at the unfortunate luck, but that's a great AAR!

Similar thing with the purple turtle. Don't flush out a flying enemy standing on the roof of the turtle with molotovs. You may have a bad day.

Wait, you solo'd a mission with a slave soldier?

Bootypedia says these droids have 50% electrical damage resist! Mind you, electric lasso does ignore 50% of armour, deals a fair amount of base damage and inflicts reaction disrupt, so this may still be a weapon for the job. Sure beats flying at them to melee them down with cattle prods. I would recommend the awesome new EMP grenades and the double damage they inflict on droids, but I found out the hard way that they're not usable in 0g.

Exploiting the open nature of space maps and plinking away with lasers from beyond their visual range is the least painful way that I've found.

That said, your hands will be taking volleys of plasma to the face at some point. Disruptive Transmission missions are unforgiving.

You don't. Come back with a proper space suit!

On Syns, I'm pretty sure you get to keep the body after it has been researched

Looks like I broke something. I'll have a look when I get back from work.

EDIT :-

The research topic becomes available when you have a live chryssalid in your base's inventory, aka STR_CHRYSSALID_TERRORIST. The change of nomenclature for the chryssalid research strings between versions has lead to unintended results. I've done a quick and dirty fix (that hopefully works) by adding a requirement for the chryssalid research topic.

Code: [Select]
    points: 50
    needItem: true
    destroyItem: true

tl;dr
see attached for a hot fix for the hot fix. Tested on new game starts, my current playthrough and Kulverstukass's save file.

First aid kit items and bandages grant bravery experience. Alcohol doesn't I believe.

Bravery increases by a maximum of 10 per mission. To guarantee a bravery increase, I think you need 11 bravery experience (i.e. heal 11 fatal wounds per mission).

I believe that's just earned commendations being awarded retroactively. The higher tier service ribbons for a few commendations weren't being properly awarded in previous versions; now your hands are receiving their decorations that were left outstanding.

As for the 'bomber' commendation, I haven't got a clue. Things get a bit weird depending on who arms/throws the bomb.

On a similar note, I've observed gals not having poison gas bomb kills logged in their diaries.

Cutters do sometimes drop industrial scanners.

They may be locked to cutters on a resource extraction mission though, I'm not sure.
